In an exclusive
interview with Hyping University the
Sekyere– based artiste (Adupashh) Describe
how Poor Management Structures Musiga & Gharmro have put in place and it will kill Ghanaian Music
According to Adupashh music plays a great part in Humans Life, Music
speaks but if proper Management is not put in place Music dies. Music has a
root, It’s build up from the ground then becomes Popular.
Consider a tree for a
moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don't see what goes on
underground - as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to
grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don't see the roots. We just see
and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside Music is like
the roots of a tree.

He Continued ‘Because
we don’t have good structures that’s why we are facing this challenges in the
music industry these days, if we are not careful Ghanaian music will die due to
poor foundation the music industry is building. They are always doing their
best for the Ageing Artists”
Now it has come to a
point that if you don’t have money your songs will not be heard, if proper
structures are to put in place like all this Payola we pay to Dj’s and likes
will stop.
We have more Artists
out there which can compose and bring out good songs but because we don’t have
proper structure in our Music industry now we can’t find them. We can get more
record labels in our Industry when Musiga brings out proper structure in our industry.
We need national Dj
Association, if your record a song we send them to Musuga and Gamro board, they
also forward them to the Dj for them to play without stress. They can decide
some amount artists should paid to the Association.
I think this action
can make the Djs feel free and promote our Music without much discrimination
and can encourage the young once to come out with their dreams.
Everybody is complaining
about payola, if so why Musiga and Gamro sit with Ghana Djs and form that
Association to make things easier for musicians to promote their music than to
let our music die without going far.
We can start today,
build it tomorrow it will be useful in the future.
